ASIAN COSMETIC SURGERY
Cosmetic surgery on Asian people is considered a separate field of plastic surgery. The type of surgeries requested are different from the mainstream plastic surgeries. The esthetic concept is based on oriental culture in which the healing takes place in a unique fashion.

Dr. Park, a leader in Asian surgeries, has lectured before groups of cosmetic surgeons on numerous occasions. His instruction courses at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery have been received with a great enthusiasm by the practicing cosmetic plastic surgeons. Dr. Park has also published his innovative surgical techniques on Asian cosmetic surgery, in well respected premier journals. These articles can be found in such magazines as "Plastic

and Reconstructive Surgery," and "Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery," just to name a couple.

Dr. Park also authored a chapter on Asian eyelid surgery in a three volume facial plastic surgery textbook, to be released soon. Dr. Park was also interviewed by the reporters from the "Cosmetic Surgery Times", regarding the surgical techniques on Asian double eyelid surgery. This periodical, of course, is nationally distributed to plastic surgeons of all disciplines.

Dr. Park has founded the American Society of Asian Cosmetic Surgery and is serving as a president of the society.

Dr. Park's office is located in the south suburb of Chicago, approximately 25 miles/30 min. from downtown. His Asian patients come largely from the Chicago metropolitan area, especially from the north side of the city. However, it can be said that a large number of patients are drawn from 9 neighboring states; Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Ohio, and Kentucky. Dr. Park has operated on people who fly in from places as far away as NY, Florida, LA, Korea, and even from the Philippines.
